Lubanzi, Chenin Blanc 2023

Lubanzi was created by two American travellers to South Africa who fell in love with the country and in particular a loyal dog they named Lubanzi, who led them as they trekked 100 miles along South Africa's Wild Coast. Now a full Fair Trade winery, the team at Lubanzi are some of the most generous winemakers going and their wines offer exceptional value. Chenin Blanc 2023 is made entirely with dry-farmed, handpicked grapes from 20 year old Swartland bush vines. Fermentation occurs spontaneously from naturally occurring yeasts which gives the wine an effortless vibrancy, with notes of crisp green apple, pear, lemon zest and a touch of honey on the finish. A great pair with grilled chicken.
